September 13, 2003 on his Honda Goldwing

A popular item early 2003 was kick scooters.  Though they're making a slight comeback, they're nothing like they were back then.  Behind Bob you can see one of the products we used to carry...racing wheels for those scooters!  We carried more than half a dozen different types of scooters, too.  Gil was the official scooter tech.

We had quite a space...the whole thing was ours and the line of products

we carried was quite amazing for a flea market vendor.  This was taken September, 2003.

I've known Bob almost since I moved to Albuquerque in 1997.  I met him in the Indoor Mercado, a now defunct indoor flea market in Albuquerque.  Hard to believe it's been that long.  We were business partners at the largest flea market in Albuquerque for a number of years and even did a couple of stints at the New Mexico State Fair as a toy vendor back in '01 and '02.

Bob and I are no longer in contact since I moved from the area, but it was a nice run.  It was a dependent relationship...he was too dependent on me for managing his life.  Wasn't good for either of us.  Hopefully he's a lot better off now.
