Been a while since I've typed anything on here, but today is April 14, 2007. Looking back at the previous page, I did notice that there are a
lot of things happening. Joy and I are definitely getting our own apartments. That's the first part. My nephew Hiroshi no longer lives here since he got himself removed in January. He
brought a female here to live in his room for an unknown period of time. When Joy found out about that, the $#|^ kind of hit the fan. She still likes him, but we both decided that wasn't in his
free room agreement. 'Sides, I have a whole room filled with ham radio and computer equipment and I don't like anyone in here that I really don't know or can't trust. But about Joy and I moving
out by ourselves, we're just roommates now and we will continue to be friends. It's too bad the relationship didn't work out, but some things are just not meant to be. We kind of figured that
since we met on eHarmony, she'd had her ex help her fill out the personality profile and it turns out that I would have more in common with him than with her. Sorry, I don't swing that way,
folks. But I could be a great friend of her ex's. We have a lot in common...even Joy says that. Now I can see why.
Onward and upward. I put this one the home page and I wanted to go into a little more detail. I got an e-mail message from a local VE
(volunteer examiner) on 4-7-07 and was informed that there was a VE testing session (for those not in the know, it's a testing session for ham radio licenses). I started studying the 432 question
pool on the 8th of April and easily passed the test for my general ham radio license on Saturday, April 14, '07. But didn't get much sleep because I really wanted to go over the pool one more time
starting at 10:30pm last night (Friday). So, I'll look back at this sometime in the near or far future and say, "Yeah, I remember that!" :-)
May 30, 2007: Let's see...a lot has happened since my last update. Joy and I are in separate apartments here in Albuquerque now. My
nephew Hiroshi is still out there with yet another girlfriend, but there's a twist. He seems to want to borrow money from both his mom and Joy all the time. Not that anyone has any to give him,
of course, at least not much. He's careful not to ask me...he already knows the answer.
It's been a hard and hectic move, that's for sure. Not one that I want to repeat anytime soon. In fact, I still have lots of stuff to
either find a place for, give away, or even throw away. It's difficult to find places for stuff that came out of a kitchen with twice the storage space, more rooms, and a lot more rent, of
course. At the difference in rent, I'm sure that I can figure out what to do with the unused stuff. I have so much junk!!! Help me...oh help me :-). One thing I wanted to try to do is
to avoid having friends help on this move. Figure I'll learn a lesson about collecting so much. Joy has volunteered her loveseat and living room chair, though. She had a nice collection
for the 4 bedroom, but it doesn't fit in her little apartment, either. So I let her use my dining room table and some chairs and she's letting me use the other stuff. These places are just too
small for a full set of large furniture. 'Nuff for now, I might include some pics when I finally get settled into this place.
I also noticed that I need to fix the menus on this website. I've somehow gotten them all fouled up. It's yet another project (hopefully
a simple one) to do on this website!
June 10, 2007 and I think I may have fixed the menus and given the site a new look. That's it for now.
More later...
