March 11, 2008: Looks like I'll be doing lots of updates on the Deal Time page. Added links to auto parts stores since I didn't think about
that during the creation of the page.
February 26, 2008: Tried several times to do some navigation updates for the site and NetObjects Fusion crashed on me and I finally gave up
for this session. I did format the pages so they would center in a normal browser, however. I'll get the site navigation up to par with a site map page eventually, but right now it's fairly
navigatable. Is that a word? I also added, the "Deal Time" page with lots and lots of links.
August 22, 2007: Another site update. Changed the site style to something a little different. Changed the navigation bars so the
site would be easier to navigate...makes more sense. Took out the flyout Java menus. The looked neat but the navigation was somewhat difficult. Might put those back later. It's
simpler this way.
June 10, 2007: Major facelift to the website. Used a different site style so all of my text SHRUNK down to nearly nothing. Go
figure. I'm recreating. I deleted a couple of friends from my website, one by request and the other because I never hear from her anymore. I've also removed my PO Box address from the site
since I no longer maintain that box. I'm too far away from it and gas at over $3 a gallon has caused me to all but stop driving.
Nov 30, 2006: Added some stuff to "Remember 2" and added a "Gil's Life 6" page but nothing on it yet. Been getting a LOT of guesbook entries but all of them are spam. They get deleted before they even show up...I don't know
why they even try.

Sept 29, 2006: Added a new photo to the home page, updated Gil's Life Page 5. You might think I'm almost ready for Gil's Life page 6! Did
some other formatting upgrades with the introduction of NetObjects Fusion 9. Let's see what other kinds of trouble I can get into with this program, but after experimenting with it a bit, it's kinda
like pushing a baby carriage across the street with a bus. It does the job, but it's overkill.
July 2, 2006: Updated Gene M. page and Gil's Life Page 5. Not too much else done this time, though.
May 2, 2006: Been a number of updates since my last update to this page. I added photos to More Photos, added Joy to the Gil's Friends
section, and added more stuff to the "Did You Know" section (Origins Page 3). There's more, including the right sidebar and a few other things. Oh, I because an affiliate for ShieldHost and
that banner appears at the top of each page. They're a really great company and for $4.00 a month you get a HUGE amount of space and a bunch of bandwidth. But they have even great
packages. I use Go Daddy as my registrar, incidentally, for all of my domina names (gildavis.com, gatesofdixie.com, timetravelnetwork.com which isn't active right now...I'm keeping the domin name,
though, maybe someday I'll use it).
August 23, 2005: Published a new page, "The Way I see It." Also added links to Obie, move the pics around under, "Gil's Friends," since Jay
complained about coming AFTER the cats. So, to make everyone happy, I am doing that. Also, Jay was unhappy about his text in his page, but I'M going to write it the way I like it. He'll just
have to get a website of his own. :-) Poor Jay. He complained that I talked about him for a few moments, then it was all about ME. Well, considering that this is "gildavis.com," guess who
this is about. It was little stories about how I met the people, why I might still know them, you know, what I consider important. And I really don't expect anyone to actually read
'em. There's a lot better stuff here. Enough of my ranting!
August 8, 2005: Added a new Link Exchange page. Had some minor updates and additions on July 28th, as well that I didn't post. On that date, I
added the Online Traders Yahoo Group link. I think that's about it. Recently changed registrars for gildavis.com to Godaddy.com from OneStep.net 'cause it was cheaper and they have more
services.
July 8, 2005: Wow! I added the Numa Numa Dance page and got a HUGE number of hits on it. I've gotten 26,000 hits on just that page in the
past 8 days. Unreal! I put the actual SWF file up on my Comcast personal web page to save bandwidth on my Shieldhost webhosting company. It blows me away how many hits this site has gotten
lately. Anyway, back to the changes. I redid the nav buttons for the radio stations and put them all on the right side (you need to scroll over to them if you're running 640x480...and if you
are, it's time for a new computer! That's it for now.
May 4, 2005: Added Rememer? Page 2. Edited a small amount of text to make the "Remember" page more up to date. On June 1, 2005, added
Numa Numa Dance page. First flash file I've ever put on my website, at one time due to the fact that bandwidth was at a premium. Not so bad now, but I'll be monitoring it. No rollover like
Cingular :-) Oh, I removed links to Hooked on Trivia site due to the fact that the show is not currently on. If I ever get an answer to where they went, I'll let anyone interested know.
April 1, 2005. Happy April Fools Day! Added a bit of text on the home page, finally put a more recent photo in the "More Gil's Pics"
page. I will add Obie (my new kitty) and create another "More Gil's Pics" page on the next update, as far as I know. Love seeing my site in the top 10 since I moved it off the free
server. I think the Gil Davis for Lt. Governor needs all the help he can get, so I'll do my best to make sure that his name stay at the top (by limiting links to other sites and making sure that
they do, as well). I also have a offer of $500,000 for my domain name. Ummm...I'm going to take it. Oh, yes, did I mention...APRIL FOOL! :-) Now, stop reading for a moment and sign my
guestbook! :-)
March 11, 2005: Added the Chat with Gil link on the right side of your screen. Did I mention that this site was designed with 1024x768 in
mind? Also fixed a couple of typos that I made on the update yesterday. That's what you get for updating a site a 2am It's 1am right now. Have no idea if I'm going to do any better
this morning. I'm also planning on building a bulletin board (forum), likely political or something. Maybe not.
March 10, 2005: Updated my jokes sites since Johnny's Jokes is no longer. I'm now using Joke-a-Day and another one. I'll eventually pick
the best one. Or just keep 'em both. But you're welcomed to try them on the "Let's Laugh" on the nav bar. Updated the links page. It seems that ShieldHost doesn't care for special
characters like the cent sign, so I'll have to address that issue on one at least the "Remember" page. Not this morning, though. It's 1:45am!
February 8, 2005: Bought a year's worth of webhosting and will no doubt keep it renewed at ShieldHost. Did a bit of site updating, mostly
just bringing the site up to date, deleted a couple of my links to sites that are no longer. No real major updates to the site appearance or pics...yet. It's coming! Had some problems with
the "curly quotes" so hoping the straight quotes will work.
January 1, 2005: Added Gil's Life Page 5, updated a few odds and ends on some pages, and added to Origins...the first fax machine. I have lots
more ideas for that one.
October 2, 2004: Corrected some typo errors and brought the site up to date. Added a couple of links for live online-radio at the top..
August 24, 2004: No real changes, deleted the Scents and Dreams link, added a note to have a friend get ahold of me, if she ever finds the site,
but it will give the search engines a little help. That's it. Want to see one that has really undergone some changes? Check out www.gatesofdixie.com and you'll see a site I've put a lot of effort into making look good.
May 20, 2004: Added the "Hooked on Trivia" page. No oher changes at present.
April 13, 2004: Changed the navigation bar so you could see all the selections when the menu flies out. Used a style called "Country Craft"
for the flyout buttons. Smaller, but not necessarily easier to read. I'll be working on that one. Took out animations from several parts of the website. Added a frame at the top so you
will always see the name of the page. Tried to do it with the left nav bar, but it didn't work right with a frame over there. Added a light colored background to each page, as well.
February 27, 2004: Would it come as a surprise if I said that I changed yet something else? It shouldn't, since that's what I seem to do a lot of.
I changed the entire look and feel of the site. Added some links to pages that weren't linked to before. Added a Personality Tests page that can be accessed from "The Gil Story." Major changes this
time!
February 16, 2004: Played around with some of the animated graphics that NetObjects Fusion 7.0 is capable of. Had the nav bar and the
little ad-box fly in after the page is loaded. Don't know if it will affect the performance of the website or not, but I'm going to find out. If it works out, I'll add some other interesting
stuff. Oh yeah, fixed a typo on the home page.
February 11, 2004: Added photos to home page and added an Origins page 3. Changed text navigation bar to reflect a "site map" type menu
instead of a text menu that has everything in it. Wanted to make it easier for the user to navigate the site. Deleted "Free for All" link way at the bottom. Nobody used it,
anyway. Added a photo to More Gil Pics page, and a bit of text describing it. Changed text on the home page to make it more current. Added a new page called, "Remember?
October 20, 2003: Added More Gil's Pics page. Just getting started on that one. Might have quite a number of 'em as I take more
photos. Added NewsPro Wire to the news page.
October 16, 2003: Added www.scentsanddreams.com link to the links page, updated site title and meta-tags to assist search engines to help find this website.
October 3, 2003: Changed some of my meta-tags. About a week ago, I changed the photo on the home page, as well. Changed some of the text,
too, to reflect the change in the photo. Also added News Page. Still have a lot of work to do on that one! Also, on October 4, 2003, added a few links to the news page.
August 29, 2003: Wow! I did a lot of updates tonight. I eliminated all the hash and trash at the bottom of each of the pages, took
off the news headlines (might put some back on in a separate page). Just made the pages smaller and less messy, I guess you could say. Hmmm...might change the color scheme,
eventually. Also updated the counter code so it would work once again. Shrunk the text on this page just 'cause it was getting much too long and involved. Need I forget, the nav buttons on
the side were a bit confusing. I updated them a bit. The ones on the bottom still need some work, but I'll address that when I'm not almost asleep.
August 26, 2003: Oops. Had to fix two navigation links on the Origins pages. One went nowhere, the other went to the wrong
page. Shows what happens when it's done in the middle of the morning! I was playing around with a computer at Radio Shack yesterday and found the MISSING LINK! Was my face
red! Probably from a sunburn, so I doubt it has anything to do with the fact that I screwed up the website.
August 11, 2003: Added the "Insults" page to the "Let's Laff" section. Slightly rewritten to have some of the jokes apply to both genders
(some were gender specific and they could have been used either way, so now you can!).
July 17, 2003: Added a Prowler page to the Friends section. Changed some of the text on the home page. Redid the navigation bars to
make more sense to the user, still making extensive use of Javascript, but made it more obvious how to navigate the website. I think that's about it this time around. Note to self: CHANGE HOME
PAGE PHOTO!!! :-)
June 20, 2003: Did an update to the home page, added a few new things to the website.
May 3, 2003: Added some text to the home page, PLUS removed the background music. My friend, Jay, says that it locked up his computer
when it tried to play. So be it, now I just made it more compatible with the stone age machines! Also noticed that the e-mail link above was only highlighted on the .com part. Fixed that,
as well.
April 15, 2003: Changed format of home page. Added the "facethejury" link (see below). Wondering why I'm up after 1am on the day
after Easter (it is after midnight, after all). How odd.
March 23, 2003: Decided to do this thing from the most recent updates to the older updates, like most people do, so I changed this
page. Also added the invite to join The Duke City discussion group on my home page.
March 14, 2002: Added "Tongue Twisters. Corrected several spelling errors (let Net Objects Fusion 7 do it for me this time!). In
fact, corrected 37 spelling errors, most of which were just typos. Changed the "Site Updated" date to March 15, since it's so close to that it won't be finished uploading before midnight.
March 12, 2003: On March 8, 2003, I changed the name of a page from "Secrets Revealed," to "Origins." I didn't have any secrets to
reveal, so I just renamed it. 'Sides, it was only there for a space filler, until I found something else to up in there. Anyway, today I changed the bottom nav bar to include "Origins" under
"Gil's Home." Also added some stuff to the Origins page; the first e-mail message and the inventor of the automobile (well, one of them, anyway)..
Started February 8, 2003: Just added some new services. A daily cartoon (on the Let's Laff page), a free-for-all-links service (at the
bottom of each page). Added an updates page and some new links on the links page. Edited each page so that they are centered on the most popular web browsers. Added a Java link to the
bottom nav bar to the "Let's Laugh" menu for "Bomb Iraq." Updated the "Site Last Updated link on the bottom of each page.
