Introduction:
Who is Gil Davis? Why is he applying for a job here? These questions and more will be
answered in the course of perusing this Internet resume. Why not a "professional paper"
presentation? I have been doing resumes for people for many years. They mostly look the
same. A bit of info here and there, some of it true, some of it "enhanced." Since I take pride in
my work, I wanted to make this unique and honest. I receive disability due to a back injury in 1995, so part-time work is perfect for me. I work on ATMs and computers for a bit of extra
income. In addition, I have done freelance audio production, mostly for fun. Have also emceed a few variety shows for the
apartment complex in which I currently live as well as regularly produce a monthly newsletter for the same.
Personal:
I was born in Rochester, New York, with my father reaching retirement age very shortly afterward. Because of that, I lived in
many areas of the country and attended a number of schools during my childhood years. My father wanted to travel and see
the country while he had the chance. In my adult life, I've extensively traveled in the USA and had to chance to interact with
many types of people. I occasionally ride a motorcycle, am a ham radio operator, and a "computer whiz" according to all of my friends.
Experience:
Since 2006, I've been a part-time technician troubleshooting, repairing, and even occasionally installing automated teller
machines. Prior to that, I spent nine years successfully selling new items at the flea market and for two consecutive years at
the New Mexico State Fair in a very prominent location. I did all of my own ordering, sales tracking, paperwork, spreadsheets
, taxes, and much more. More than three years as a part-time live DJ with all of my own equipment and music specializing in
oldies rock and 70s disco music, as well as a year year part-time as a radio board-op and air talent for up to five hours on
weekend nights at KMJC when they were located in the San Diego area. I have a somewhat youthful, but mature sounding voice did a number of spots and sweepers for the station.
I have had many years of dealing with the public. I am familiar with computers and the major software such as Microsoft Word
, Publisher, and Excel. I have also been acquainted with and am somewhat familiar with a DJ program called Sam
Broadcaster. Have some professional production/editing experience with Sony's Sound Forge. Two years of desktop
publishing, part-time. More than thirty years of professional experience in a retail environment as a business owner, sales manager, computer specialist, or retail salesperson.
Incendntally, this site was designed by me using NetObjects Fusion 11.

Currently I am a freelance part-time ATM repair tech for FCTI in California experience with the Tritan 5000 series, Nextran
Xtremo, and Nextran ComNet 3000 series freestanding ATMs.

1996—1997 Desktop Publishing (Self-Employed) Desktop Publisher

1977—1995 (with about a 3 year hiatus) Radio Shack, Phoenix, Denver, and San Diego Various positions

manager, 3 years as a computer specialist, 5 years as a manager, and almost 4 years between part-time and full-time sales.
I pushed my last store from #27 out of 33 in the district to consistently #7, just under the mall stores and the major strip
stores (I was in a small strip center), by increasing sales of computers, cell phones, service plans, and high-ticket/high-profit
items. Also cleaned up the store, remerchandised it to fit its location and featured the items that an up and coming area
needed (speakers, cables, antennas). Won many sales awards including Regional Rookie of the Year, several times awarded
Manager of the Month, a stack of high dollar sales awards, other awards that I can't recall, plus a number of congratulatory letters from John Roach (at the time, CEO) on my store's performance.
