Bob's favorite saying is, "My friend's a dummy." But since he calls
everyone a weasel, I think it should be, "My friend's a weasel." Come to think about it, I don't even think he says that anymore.
I've known Bob almost since I moved to Albuquerque in 1997. We met at the Indoor Mercado, an indoor flea market (swap meet, for
some of you westerners). I ran a booth out there for the Christmas season, and Bob had another that had been there for quite some time
selling collectible cards and video games. Even after we both closed our booths, we somehow managed to stay in touch. He even bought
an RV and lived in it, just like I did for a bit over five years. It's a pretty good lifestyle for the most part.
Inexpensive once you get over the initial investment, but not quite as cheap as it used to be.
A side note: The Indoor Mercado no longer exists. It was torn down around October, 2004. There now
sits a new Walgreen's and in the space that the Mercado actually took, a Lowe's Home Improvement store. They've opened a new indoor flea market here in Albuquerque at the corner of Lomas and
Louisiana called Marketplace New Mexico. Similar but a bit different in that they're open five days a week instead of three.
