Bob's favorite saying is, "My friend's a dummy."
But since he calls everyone a weasel, I think it should be, "My friend's a weasel." Come to think about it, I don't even think he says that anymore.
I've known Bob almost since I moved to Albuquerque in 1997. We met at the Indoor Mercado, an indoor flea market (swap meet, for
some of you westerners). I ran a booth out there for the Christmas season, and Bob had another that had been there for quite some time selling collectible cards and video
games. Even after we both closed our booths, we somehow managed to stay in touch. He even bought an RV and lived in it, just like I did for a bit over five years.
It's a pretty good lifestyle for the most part. Inexpensive once you get over the initial investment, but not quite as cheap as it used to be.
Incidentally, Bob sells DVD movies at the flea market, as well as incense and oils.
If you're looking for those, visit him in space H-28 to H-30, right next to north fence along Lynn Street in the New Mexico State Fairgrounds (Expo) Flea Market at
Louisiana and Central on most weekends here in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
A side note: The Indoor Mercado no longer exists. It was torn down around October, 2004. There now sits a new Walgreens and in the space that the
Mercado actually too, a Lowe's Home Improvement store.
